Vic Cameron (BSc DipDist)
Vic has over 23 years experience in the distilling industry, working in a number of roles for the largest Distiller in the UK over his long career.
He has worked in production management at both malting and distilling sites (check out the Benrinnes picture in the Gallery), so he is the perfect person to take you through the detail of how malt whisky is actually produced. He can go into as much (or as little) scientific detail as you wish; having passed the major industrial exam in this field, the IBD Diploma in Distilling, Vic is well placed to explain the process.
Finishing his career as Laboratory Services and Cereals Manager, Vic has the rounded experience and knowledge to entertain and inform, whilst "teaching" you how to fully appreciate the wonderful aromas and flavours of malt whisky.
Having a passion and love for malt whisky, Vic is proud to have been the 4th International Malt Whisky Nosing Champion. He is now on the organising committee for the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival whisky school and also the Whisky Lecturer for the University of the HIghlands and Islands.
